ERLIKON SA belongs to SIDENOR Group, and was founded in 1978 in Kilkis, Greece, operating as a wire manufacturing company. The company produced wires of various diameters and qualities (black hard and annealed wires) as well as wire mesh for construction, using 4 wire drawing machines and 2 mesh welding machines.
In 1981, the company underwent an expansion of its building and production facilities. A new galvanized wire production line was installed, with a modern liquid industrial waste neutralization unit as well as 4 new wire drawing machines, in order to supply the galvanizing department as well as to increase the types of wires produced.
The ERLIKON Wire Processing SA plant in Kilkis is currently the largest Greek manufacturer of welding electrodes, with a domestic market share of approximately 70%, and also produces a full range of wires and wire mesh, with a leading market share in Greece. Among the company’s aims is the expansion into the Balkan and Middle East markets.
The Kilkis plant has a total annual production capacity of 80,000 tons of wire processing products and 12,000 tons of welding products. ERLIKON SA employs a total of 150 persons.
