The company was founded in the mid-sixties by John Rentas and trades non-ferrous metals. Copper and copper alloys continue to be the companys focus along with brass, which is considered to be a significant and integral part of copper. However, in the course of time the product range was further expanded with engineering plastics, aluminium and agglutination materials.

In 1981 the company turned into an S.A. and started a long and continuous effort of modernization, oriented towards optimum customer satisfaction. As a result in order to accomplish our aim, a new company named Arenal S.A. was formed in 1985, which specialized in the trade of aluminium. Likewise, a year later, Electra SA was formed to take over the agglutination materials trade.

Having in mind the significant contribution that copper and its alloys have in the industrys development and the countrys move forward, the company follows quality standards. John A. Rentas S.A. cooperates with the greatest industries in Greece and abroad, which are in position to guarantee products of high and stable quality, through modern production methods and quality tests. Therefore, all products traded have the appropriate certifications. 

Additionally, the company draws special attention in expanding the variety of dimensions and formats of semi-ready-products (ex. bars, profiles, sheets and tubes) that are always in stock. Furthermore, in order to follow the evolution in the technology field, the range of products is constantly replaced and enriched, not only with new alloys but with new materials and metals too.
