The company Nutria was established in 1994, succeeding a small olive oil crashing plant. Its main operation is the standardization and trade of all types of olive oil.
Its installations are in Agios Constantinos Fthiotidas,162 km north of Athens in a field of 150,000 sq.m.
Installations include the crashing plant, the bottling plant, the refinery, as well as cereal silos and the offices of the company.
Its headquarters offices are in Physico, Athens. Since the foundation of the company, the vision of the founders, Mr. Elias Zavakos and George Mantzavinos, is to promote the use of olive oil, the cornerstone of the Greek diet everywhere in the world. Although Greek olive oil is of the highest quality worldwide, bottled exports are quite limited, as the majority of Greek olive oil is exported in bulk to Italy.
Nutria is taking the lead to let people from all around the world learn the superiority of Greek olive oil. From the very beginning Nutria remains an export company, with the great majority of its sales coming from abroad. We sell only 100% Greek olive oil.
Our products can be found in many countries such as Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, China and elsewhere.
Nutria is a major player in the Private Label business, holding brands of multinational and national supermarkets, as well as many distributors brands.
Nutria has recently undertaken a big investment plan of more than 10 million euros.
A brand new, state-of-the-art standardization factory and a refinery started their operation in 2006 and 2007 respectively.
Nutria philosophy is to provide its customers with the highest possible flexibility, offering a big range of olive oils from all around Greece, a great variety of packages and top-lead service.
